Domestic Violence is Rampant in West Africa

According to a recent report from the International Rescue Committee, husbands pose a greater threat to women in West Africa than armed combatants. Women in post-conflict Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia and Sierra Leone are abused at a "shocking frequency." Even in more stable countries, such as Senegal, progress to curtail domestic violence is minimal.
